Swiss Border Stories

Please enjoy videos and a photo gallery that swissinfo produced about my journey around the great country of Switzerland. As Mark Twain wrote more than a century ago, “Switzerland would be a mighty big place if it were ironed flat.”

The video below was produced for a “new media” competition in Berlin. It explains the technical aspects of posting daily blogs and photos from the journey:

This interview was filmed above Leysin just before I launched on the final and most difficult section of the circumnavigation:

My friend Dan Patitucci spent almost a week with me along the Austrian border and compiled this portfolio of images for a gallery on swissinfo. Click the image to view them on swissinfo.ch.

I filed over 100 blog entries and at least five times that many photos and videos for swissinfo during the journey. These will become a coffee-tablet book, but for now the best way to experience them is via swissinfo.ch. Please sample the adventure by clicking through a few pages until something grabs your attention. I hope the writing and photos convey some of the joy of discovery I experienced during the most fascinating expedition I’ve ever undertaken.
